Well. We partied at the Red Rock Resort. And because we are really great at taking our own pictures, here are some (that we did not, in fact, take with our camera).
The lobby area:
But imagine it beyond decked out with christmas decor. it was awesome.
From our window we could see Red Rock Canyon, and the pools below.
We're thinking that a summer stay-cay will be in order.
And guess what...David surprised me with a new digital camera!!! We've been wanting to get a new one for quite some time. He did a good job picking it out all by himself. It's a Panasonic Lumix with an 8x zoom, 14megapixels and HD video recording. With all it's fanciness, my computer is taking foreva to import photos.
If you're a local and are in need of a get-away but don't want to go far away (aka Staycation), Red Rock is perfect! They had great deals and sweet packages. Check em' out!
After checking out Sunday, we took a drive and enjoyed the sights of the canyon: RED ROCKS/MOUNTAINS, animalia, rock climbers galore. After exploring a few off-roads, we hopped on the scenic loop. Halfway we stopped because we both we're struggling to keep our eyes open. So we napped. And then we drove home. The end. :)
Scenes from the drive (a whopping two, because we are really good at taking pictures, remember?):
Around Ice Box Canyon. Aptly named.
Or maybe I was the only one that napped???
So now that we have a camera. A good one! And one that isn't big and bulky and awkward to keep in a pocket or purse. We no longer have a reasonable excuse for lack of pictures. Expect to see more of us from now on!
It's another one of those days where sleep is eluding me after D has left for work. These early morning hours are great to get blogging done. I apologize for any and all broken thoughts, sentences, randomness, and ramblings that are associated with early morning blogging.
