While Chris and Shelly ran away to Cali for a few days at the end of July, Mom and I (mostly Mom) were left to entertain the kids. One of the days we hauled them out to Bonnie Springs- an Old Western town complete with a petting zoo and horseback rides. It was only like 98 degrees there instead of the 110 in the city. ugh.
Lovin' on the roaming Doe
Lydia was not scared!
The random animals Logan specifically told me to take a picture of:
Donkey!
Inside one of the buildings was a fun museum type exhibit with items from the 1800 to early 1900s. The boys loved the typewriters (and might have not been able to read the sign that said to not touch them).
We stepped inside a showhouse to catch a quick melodrama.

And then we headed back to Henderson for some much needed pool cool-down time. ahhhh.
