Frank.

People in the back seat.
People in the front seat.
This is Frank.
This is David.

Long[ish] story short: David and his Dad are both masters at winning stuff on the radio. They both managed to win tickets to Sinatra's "Dance With Me" at the Wynn. We normally keep away from anything the strip has to offer, but we (parents included) figured that Sinatra's vocals with some dancers added to it was safe, especially considering that the Wynn's boxoffice website approved the show for 5 and up.
But as with all things Vegas, more and more clothing was being thrown off with every song and the dancing was getting more and more suggestive as the songs progressed. Not wanting to see the dancer's interpretation of the song, we walked out before the line-up reached "Let's Make Whoopie" about halfway through the show.
As we walked out of the theater we noticed this cute'n'cozy smooch corner.

The parents didn't know where we went and thought that maybe we had stayed inside to enjoy the rest of the show. Negative. We enjoyed our own show! ;)
Papa and Mama love birds couldn't resist the fun either
And really, aren't my $5 Saver shoes yummy?

The theater lobby was fun.
After locating the vehicle in the parking garage, Scott said, let's go catch a rollercoaster! And we all said, okay!!! AdventureDome was down the street so we popped in there, purchased a pass for the CanyonBlaster (we didn't put out any money on the tickets for Frank, so why not?), waited in line,
screamed our heads off, fixed our hair, tried to find our way out of the dome, on the way out hit up this game while singing "We Go Together" from Grease (or was that just me?).
Papa Bird showed us all up and was the only to walk away with a prize.
Then on the way home David mentioned that he had buy one get one free for U-Swirl (won on the radio), so we decided to check that out. Dear U-Swirl off 2-15 and Eastern: Your workers are rude and unfriendly. And why can't we take pictures inside your establishment? Even with your rude and unfriendly teenage workers barking at us to put cameras away, I still got this one of my man:
Teheehee.
The End.

Confession

I have had no desire to pay any attention to the blog the last month or so. Zero. Zilch. Nada.
And tonight I reminded myself that I do this so that we have a family journal to look back on and see what we've done and see how far we've come.
So for like the umpteenth time, this is me saying I'll [try to] be better. While we wait for the posts to come about the months gone by... enjoy these pretties [okay, I know they're not all that pretty] from March.

ouchies.

Our backs hurt. Our bums hurt. Our brains hurt.
Cannot wait to get off our tooshies and rejoin the world. This semester has been a rough and long one for both of us. So happy to being so close to having it all behind us!

Happy May!!!

Some fun pictures just for you:
I have never had a bloody nose. Bloody boogies, maybe. But running, gushing, bloody nose? No. I've even taken a few soccer balls to the face with nothing to show for it except a brief tingly sensation and wanting to punch something (hahaha). No bloody nose, ever!? What the? Having been a lifeguard for the city for several years, taking care of a nose bleed is one of those things that happens as often as droning, "Walllllk" all day long. . I fear this is the closest I will ever get: a nasty gargantuan zit right where my upper lip meets my shnozz. It was so tender and painful and I had to wait days to be able to POP it. My eyes were streaming tears when I was finally able to drain that sucker. After getting the gallon of pus and grossness out, it just kept bleedingggg. Awesome story, huh?

When I opened photo booth to take the next glorious picture of me studying my brains out, I found this one of David. His photo wins. I'm not sure what he was doing or what inspired this great shot, but he wins. I'm going to guess and say he wanted to punch himself cause he was sick of working on math homework or something. Something like that.

In my hand are flashcards for the 20 basic Amino Acids I had to memorize for BioChem.
It would appear that that one in particular is Tyrosine...I hope...if not I got that one wrong on my test today!

p.s. I finally got new razors the other day! don't tell, but I've been using David's fancy pants shick quattro power fusion yada yada whatever razor. No wonder his blades are so expensive, those things work good!
love you, honey!

Study, Study, Study, Write, Write, Write

Finals countdown is in full force in our "basement studio".
David is working on a Psych paper.
I just finished a MicroBio project! Ya! (Well, I still need to print it. It's not even due until Wednesday. I finally finished something days before instead of staying up all night before its due. I should do this more often, it feels great! But you know what would feel even better? Not having an Organic/BioChem test on Monday. Yep, pretty sure I could live without taking that beast. However, I am excited to take the practical portion for Anat & Phys. I'm gonna rock it! [The theory part on Wednesday maybe not so much, but I should still do pretty good.] This turned into the longest parentheses insert ever) So that means a quick blogging break for me. Which brings me to the main part of this post:
This might be my main mode of transportation in a few weeks! woot woot! I'm so excited!
And maybe sometime I'll get around to tell the story for this picture:

back to studying....

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

My friends and family, I want your help! For Levi and Ashley's Wedding next weekend I somehow was chosen to be in charge of the music. Everything's ready to go (don't worry Bride), but I want some ideas for a few more upbeat dance tunes. If you have any suggestions, do tell! Also, if you're going to be at the reception, what songs do YOU want to/would dance to? share share share!

Me likey.

This:
There is in every true woman's heart a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity; but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.

-Washington Irving

March. The Final Chapter.

Okayy, this should be the last of what we missed from March.
1) Brooke's "Mormon Prom". She asked me to do her hair and make-up. We had a blast! I should have taken a picture of the back of her hair- it looked awesome! I love how her eyes turned out. So pretty!
This pic is stolen from Julie's facebook. :)

2) Sam & Dia's Wedding!!!!!!!
I'm a really bad videographer, but I'm learning.
Not the best quality, all the video is from my phone.

Dia asked me to help her with hair/make-up as well. But really, she does not need help at all- she is so gorgeous!
It was windy.

What a lovely evening for a lovely couple.

to end, check out the boys' dance skills (and Hazel's bouncing ability). I didn't even have the camera going for the good stuff. Either way, they're cute.
